RISE is a faith for kids!
We’re joining with First Lutheran Church to offer family-focused and Bible-based children’s faith education. Kids learn the Bible with hands-on experience, kid-friendly worship, and mission projects. Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2024.
Locations will alternate every month. (September, November, January, etc.: Le Sueur UMC and October, December, February, etc.: First Lutheran (116 Inner Dr., Le Sueur)
RISE and RISE UP Wednesdays Schedule
Rise Family Meal: Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.
RISE is for kids PreK-5th grade, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
RISE UP is for Confirmation kids, grades 6-8, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m.

*RISE follows the Le Sueur-Henderson School District for unexpected closures. If after school activities are canceled, RISE will not meet.
Faith Milestones
Pre-Kindergarten: Learn a table prayer to use during family mealtime! Begin to understand the story of Christmas and Easter.
1st-2nd grade: Learn the Lord's Prayer, a simple faith statements, a memory verse, and be able to name five Bible characters.
3rd-4th grade: Find the books of the Bible using a table of context. Learn 10 Bible stories, and have a basic understanding of Easter and Christmas.
5th-6th grade: Study and be able to recite the books of the Bible (Old and New Testament) in order. Learn 15 bible stories. Understand the story of Easter and Christmas.
7th-8th: Learn how to finish a fill-in-the-blank prayer, easily find scriptures, the categories of the books of the Bible, basic church history, Wesleyan concepts (grace and assurance).
9th-12th grade: Master a Faith Statement. Be able to say a spontaneous prayer and help others find things in scripture. Serve in church. Serve as junior counselors to younger students.
