What We Believe

Love. Serve. Belong.

LOVE: United Methodists believe that God created us in God’s own image, good and perfect, but that our desire to be our own god pulls us away from God, each other and our world. We believe that God’s love so powerful that is greater than our sins, and so gracious that nothing can separate us from that love. God’s presence lives within Jesus Christ to changes us, forgives our past and transforms our future. God’s invisible presence, the Holy Spirit, comes to us, strengthens our faith and deepen our love for God and each other which breaks the chains of our sin.

SERVE: Because God loves us, we love others. We believe that love is seen in our acts of mercy and justice, and our actions speak louder than our words. Some call us ‘the church that cares.” Find us in the serving line, building beds for kids, putting school supplies into the hands of children, or hosting events that help others. We are working to eliminate injustices in our communities and transform the world one person at a time.

BELONG: We are United Methodists, part of a world-wide community. We believe that church is for anyone and everyone. You are welcome to participate, serve, or take communion even if you are not a member. You will find women and men as clergy and lay leadership. We are an inclusive church where you can love, serve, and belong, no matter who you are. We believe this is what Jesus called us to do.
